     Leroy and Narcissus moved to Ottumwa, Wapello Co, IA from Parke Co, IN in 1845. At first they were on a squatter's claim. They were later able to to take a homestead near Des Moines, Polk Co, IA & then moved to Dallas Co. He was also the Postmaster of Adel, & School Fund Commissioner and a farmer. He was made a Freemason circa 1830. He and Nacissus Murrow resided circa 1845 at Ottumwa, Wapello Co, Iowa, Leroy and Narcissus moved to Iowa from Parke Co, Indiana. At first they were on a squatter's claim. They were later able to to take a homestead near Des Moines, Polk Co, Iowa and then moved to Dallas Co, Iowa. Leroy Lambert was elected state legislature and served there for most of the next two decades circa 1853. In 1868, with a partner, he was able to open his first bank at Dexter, Dallas Co, Iowa & the next year a bank in Adel, Dallas Co, Iowa; banker. With a partner, he was able to open his first bank, the next year they opened a bank in Adel, Dallas Co, Iowa.
